Q: I am pregnant/breastfeeding, can I use the cups?

Facial cupping is okay, but we recommend being cautious with cupping massage during pregnancy and it is advisable to avoid cupping on the abdominal and lower back areas. Be extra careful during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. This is because cupping stimulates blood circulation very intensely and triggers the body's elimination of waste products, which are excreted, in part, through breast milk. It all depends on the woman&#39;s health status, so it can work well for some. Depending on the treated area and health status. Consult with your doctor/therapist for safety.

Q: I find that the dynamic cup is too hard to use, what should I do?

The dynamic cup may feel too hard initially, but the more you use it – being 100% pure silicone and, therefore, a natural material – it will soon soften and become more flexible and pliable. Additionally, using it in a sauna or during a warm shower can accelerate the softening of the silicone, or you can pour hot water into the cup and then press it from all directions. If you experience difficulties due to weak hands, the static cups may be preferred in some cases, as they have thinner walls and are, therefore, not as hard.

Q: What are the side effects of facial cupping?

Since the cups use vacuum to give your facial muscles a deep, luscious workout, temporary redness is normal due to increased vascularity of the cupped area. These effects will disappear shortly. Minor side effects can occur after treatment such as dizziness, nausea, and a bit of facial discomfort. Start gently and don’t overdo it.

Q: Is it somewhere on the body where I should not use the cups?

Curam Dynamic and static massage cups can be used throughout the body except for groin, neck, face, armpits, genital and lower abdomen. You can use Curam Face cup everywhere since the vacuum is less strong. Consult with your doctor before usage if you are on strong medication. Avoid cupping if you are pregnant as well as on infected skin, strong psoriasis or have muscle inflammation as you should not stimulate the muscles as much as cupping can do.

Q: When to avoid facial cupping?

Be cautious with cupping directly over Botox and fillers. Do not cup or be extra careful if you are suffering from a skin disease, difficult acute acne or Rosacea, eczema, broken capillaries, moles, skin tags, warts, sundamaged skin, raised moles, over new scars, herpes or very sensitive, thin and irritated skin. Do not use the Face cup too close to your eyes since the cup can be a little bit too powerful for this area, the smaller cup is ok, but do it gentle. Please consult your skin care therapist before cupping if you are suffering from a skin disease or if you are currently using blood thinners. Temporary redness is normal due to increased vascularity of the cupped area. These effects will disappear shortly. In general, we advise to be very cautious or avoid cupping in cases of rosacea, as there is increased blood vessel formation and these vessels react strongly to stimuli such as cupping. While some individuals with milder rosacea may experience positive effects from facial cupping. Massage cups are not intended to diagnose, prevent or treat any illness, metabolic disorder, disease or health problems. Minor side effects can occur after treatment such as dizziness, nausea, and slight facial discomfort.

Q: Is there a risk of rupturing blood vessels in the skin when cupping your face?

No, as long as you follow our recommendations and keep the cup moving the entire time, there should be no risk of rupturing blood vessels. Do not cup if you have very visible blood vessels or very sensitive skin. For more information, please read our section “When o avoid facial cupping”.

Q: Can the skin become saggy or loose by cupping your face?

No, on the contrary you may experience the skin looking more plump and healthy after cupping, but make sure to use a good oil or cream first.

Q: How can I reduce puffiness and get a naturally firm skin?
