Cupping Guidelines

Cupping is a simple tool for recovery, skin vitality, and circulation – designed to integrate seamlessly into your daily routine. Whether you train regularly, spend long hours sitting, or want to enhance skin radiance and reduce puffiness, Curam’s massage cups can become a natural part of your routine. Small enough to carry with you. Effective enough to make a difference over time.

Here, we guide you through static cupping, dynamic cupping, and facial cupping – safely and effectively.

Guidelines

Static Cupping

Static cupping involves placing the cup on one area and allowing it to remain still for a short period, letting the vacuum do the work. It is a simple way to target areas that feel tense, strained, or swollen. Suits both smaller and larger areas of the body.

Step by step guide

01 Place the cup gently against the skin. Squeeze the cup from both sides (or compress from the top), then slowly release to create suction. Ensure the cup has full contact with the skin when applied.

02 Adjust the suction by squeezing more firmly or releasing slightly.

03 Leave the cup in place and allow it to work. For better grip, apply Curam Body Oil before use.

04 To reduce the risk of marks, do not leave the cup on for too long and avoid using maximum suction.

05 Recommended use: 3 times per week, maximum 20 min per area

06 Curam cups can be used both before and after training.

Guidelines

Dynamic Cupping

Dynamic cupping involves gliding the cup over the skin with slow, controlled movements to stimulate circulation and lymphatic flow. It can be used on both larger and more precise areas. The Curam Dynamic Massage Cup is ideal for larger areas like legs, back and glutes, offering stronger suction that may feel intense—especially for beginners or tight tissue. The Dynamic Mini Cup is better suited for smaller areas or as a gentler, more controlled option for larger areas.

Step by step guide

01 Apply Curam body oil to the skin to create glide and reduce friction.

02 Gently place the cup on the skin, squeeze it from the sides at its widest point, and slowly release to create suction. Ensure the edge maintains full contact with the skin to prevent air from entering.

03 Move the cup slowly across the skin using sweeping motions—up/down, in zigzag patterns, or in circular movements.

04 Adjust the suction by applying more or less pressure to the cup.

05 Recommended use: 3 times per week, 2–5 slow strokes per area. Increase gradually as needed and allow the body to adapt.

06 Curam cups can be used both before and after exercise.

Guidelines

Face Cupping

Face cupping is a gentle method designed to reduce puffiness, release tension, and support the skin’s natural circulation in the face, neck, and décolletage. The cup should always remain in motion – never leave it stationary on the skin.

Step by step guide

01 Apply Curam’s face and massage oil to cleansed skin to ensure smooth glide and reduce friction.

02 Begin by supporting lymphatic flow at the collarbones by gently pumping with the facial cup a few times (see lymphatic drainage instructions).

03 Gently place the cup over the area you wish to treat. Squeeze the sides of the cup, release slowly, and ensure the base has full contact with the skin. For smaller and more delicate areas, use the mini cup.

04 Use slow, sweeping movements outward and upward, or apply a gentle pumping technique. Keep the cup moving at all times to avoid marks. Work one side at a time. Finish with lymphatic strokes from the hairline down toward the collarbones (see lymphatic drainage instructions).

05 Reapply Curam’s face and massage oil as needed.

06 Recommended use: 1–3 strokes per area, approximately 3 times per week. If you have sensitive, thin, or mature skin, start with one very gentle stroke per area and gradually increase.

06 Do not use on fresh scars, sun-damaged, or compromised skin. Avoid cupping directly over recent Botox or filler treatments.
