Curam Recovery® Education

– Method training in active recovery using cupping

Curam Recovery® is a method-based training designed for professionals working in fitness, sports, yoga, or other health-oriented practices, whether in group settings or one-on-one, who want to integrate cupping as a structured part of what they offer.

The method is developed to release tension, reduce stiffness and pain, and restore circulation and tissue flow. For a body that feels lighter, more mobile, and more resilient over time.

The training provides you with a clear methodological foundation, combining knowledge, structure, and the freedom to create your own recovery formats using Curam’s massage cups as a tool.

Developed for a time where many people live with high levels of load, stress, and limited variation in movement—where recovery is not a complement, but a prerequisite for long-term performance and sustainability.

What is Curam Recovery®?

Curam Recovery® is a method for self-massage and tissue stimulation in a group setting. Using cupping, we work with:

Fascia and connective tissue

The lymphatic system and circulation

Nervous system regulation and recovery

The method supports the body’s natural flow and creates the conditions for both physical and mental recovery. It is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, further developed into a modern, pedagogical format adapted for group environments and contemporary needs.

It’s not about doing more. It’s about giving the body better conditions to do what it’s designed for.

Who is the training for?

Personal trainers, group fitness instructors, yoga teachers, sports coaches, physiotherapists, and other professionals within health and performance.

After completing the training, you will have a structured method that can be used for:

Recovery classes for athletes

Yoga with cupping

Fascia and lymphatic-focused sessions

Workshops in performance and recovery

Corporate classes focused on circulation and recovery

You create your own concept—based on a shared, quality-assured methodological foundation.

Training structure

The training consists of three parts to ensure quality and understanding:

Pre-work

Preparatory written and video material covering theory and method.

Live session (online or in person)

In-depth learning of the method, safety, and practical application.

You work hands-on and experience the techniques in your own body.

Post-work

Access to video material for continued integration.

After completing the training, you will have a solid understanding of Curam Recovery®, how cupping affects fascia, the lymphatic system, and circulation, as well as the tools to integrate the method into your own practice—based on your target group. The method is used freely, with the requirement of using Curam products.

Curam Somatic®

– Curam’s signature concept, a licensed, season-based ritual in a group format

Curam Somatic® is Curam’s unique signature concept—an experience-based group class where cupping, somatic principles, and traditional Chinese medicine are woven together into a structured, evolving whole.

This is not a regular class. It’s a ritual.

What is Curam Somatic®?

Curam Somatic® is a conceptual class format, comparable in structure to established training concepts—but deeply rooted in tradition, cyclical understanding, and the body’s internal rhythm.

The concept is built on:

Somatic principles

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

The four seasons and the 24 solar terms

The body clock, organ systems, and cyclical health

Each class follows a fixed foundational structure with 4–5 active blocks (out of 6 available per release), where movement, cupping, breath, voice, and presence interact. All classes share the same structure and intention—but are continuously renewed through seasonal shifts.

Participants don’t step into a workout.

They step into a shared experience—a ritual.

Here, we weave together:

Voice and guidance

Nervous system regulation

Seasonal organs and emotional themes

Cupping as a bridge between the physical and the subtle

Each release carries an overarching theme, an energetic focus, a physical focus, and an emotional layer.

Who is Curam Somatic® for?

The training is designed for professionals working with the body, movement, and recovery who want to offer a premium experience with clear structure and identity.

Examples of settings:

Yoga studios

Fitness studios

Retreats

Spa and wellness environments

Certified instructors with their own audience

Curam Somatic® is for those who:

Want to teach a ready-made, well-developed concept

Want to be part of a community and a method

Want to offer something beyond traditional training

Structure & releases

Curam Somatic® is season-based and updated four times per year.

Each release includes:

Pre-recorded masterclass (45–60 min)

Live online class with the Curam team

Script framework and storytelling cues

Seasonal theory and knowledge content

Voice and cueing guide

Marketing toolkit with ready-made class descriptions and social media copy

Instructors receive six blocks per release and actively use 4–5 of them in each class, adapted to their audience—always within the framework of the concept.

Licensing & quality assurance

To teach Curam Somatic®, the following is required:

Completed training

Certification

Approved video for quality assurance

A relevant instructor certification as a foundation

Access to a standardized cupping kit (4 cups per participant)

Curam Somatic® is a licensed concept and may only be taught according to its guidelines. It offers a complete, premium, and continuously evolving class format. The concept is developed by Sara Utberg. The license is personal per instructor, with the option for a separate studio agreement for businesses with multiple licensed instructors.
