Curam’s static cups support both blood and lymphatic circulation and remain in place on their own once applied to the skin. Each set includes two cups, allowing you to work symmetrically or treat multiple points at the same time. Unlike the dynamic cups, which are primarily guided over the skin in movement, the static cups work independently. You place them on a specific area and allow the vacuum to work deeply without any further effort.

The static cups are developed for point treatment on smaller and more precise areas where tension and stiffness often occur, such as the neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, knees, ankles, palms of the hands, and soles of the feet.

Static cups can be combined with dynamic cups for a more complete full body treatment. Use the dynamic cups where you want to work in sweeping movements over larger muscle groups, and complement with static cups for targeted release of tense, overworked, or swollen areas.

  1. Place the static cups against the skin, squeeze it and gently release to create vacuum suction.
  2. Leave the cup in one place and let the cup do its job.
  3. To prevent cupping marks, don’t leave it on for too long.
  4. Suggested use: 2-3 times a week, 3-5 minutes per area.

How long should the static cups be left in place?

Start with a few minutes per area and notice how your body and skin respond. Move them around and gradually increase the time as needed. Maximum duration: 20 minutes per area.

What do the static cups do?

When you attach the cup, it begins to draw in fluids, stimulates blood and lymph circulation, and initiates separation of the outer layers of fascia. This helps enhance the flow and aids the body in more easily transporting oxygen and nutrients, allowing for quicker elimination of waste products and boosting the body’s ability to self-heal. Increased circulation reduces stagnation, which can help treat pain, reduce tension, swelling, promote muscle relaxation, and improve flexibility and mobility. Use them in areas where you experience tension, swelling, discomfort, or to assist the body in relaxation and faster recovery.

I got marks after cupping, is this dangerous?

It is completely harmless and only affects the outermost layers of the skin. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TMC), if there is good circulation in the area, there are usually no marks, but bluish marks may appear where there is stagnation. These marks typically diminish and disappear after a few days. The marks may result from the release of waste products, stagnation, previous injury, or lactic acid produced by the muscles. If redness or itching occurs, it is likely due to increased blood circulation. People with sensitive skin prone to bruising may commonly experience marks from cupping. Start carefully and increase gradually.

What is the difference between static and dynamic cups?

Both cups are effective against stagnation as they separate the connective tissue and increase fluid flow, blood, and lymph circulation. Dynamic cupping may be preferred when there are multiple trigger points in an area and when working on larger surfaces with movement. With dynamic cupping, you can move even more fluid and it is recommended for treating cellulite and swelling. Static cups are preferable for treating smaller body areas and specific trigger points. As they are doing the job for you, you can use them while doing other things. The effect is essentially the same with both techniques, but the experience may vary.

    I have used the cups for about six months and love them.     Curam massage cups are so good for me!! The vacuum is really strong (more then you might think) but at the same time in a comfortable way, not too hard. The static cups work independently and are great for trigger points, for example on the neck. I use the dynamic cup mainly to reduce muscle soreness after training and to stimulate the blood circulation in dumb muscles. I am very happy with Curam cups – they have done wonders for my otherwise constantly stiff and overtrained body! The oil also smells fantastic!
