Curam Recovery® Education

– Exploration for inner expansion

Therapists in different cultures and during different eras have used massage cups. They are now available in silicone and in group training form. Be one of the first in the world to add this knowledge to your repertoire!

Curam Recovery® recovery class is a class concept where thoughts, methods, and practices have been developed as a way to take care of oneself and to explore; our physical body, our inner, more fluid body, and our breath. Begin your exploration with us and learn the basics through Eastern-inspired techniques.

The training is a full-day event where you will have access to written and video materials beforehand for preparation. The training is intended for those who already have a basic instructor training of any kind and are used to instructing groups, or if you work as a Pt/physiotherapist with individual clients.

The course will be based on self-experience, where you as a participant will experience the different techniques in your systems and a review of the class structure. Practice is interspersed with theory. The training will be hold in Swedish. Educational materials (compendium and video links) will be sent out after booking your spot as a preparation before the training day to get the most out of the day. It’s important that you come well-prepared.

Curam Recovery® is not a fixed class concept; as an instructor, you have the flexibility to shape the class to suit different groups, specific needs, and create your own themes. You can also choose to incorporate the cups and your learnings into other workouts and classes. Anyone can try the Curam Recovery® Education.

The combination of different positions, which we hold for 3-8 minutes, together with the cups that stimulate blood and lymph circulation, means that we will soften the connective tissue, release tension and improve the flow in the body. The goal is to reach a deep relaxation, let go and slowly melt into the position and with the help of the cups stimulation strengthen the effect without us having to go into any extreme positions. The cups different placements can, together with the positions, work with different connective tissue pathways (fascia), as well as stimulate the flow of energy in different meridians and affect organs according to Traditional Chinese Medicine’s approach.

In 2017, the fascia was named the body’s largest organ and in recent years research shows that it is much more important for our health and well-being than we previously thought and opens up new ways of looking at aches and pains.

The fascia is a network of connective tissues, without beginning and end, that encloses everything in the whole body, from muscles and bones, to organs and cells. The fascia is elastic and is affected by how we move. Our lifestyle means that we often get caught up in repetitive movements or sitting still in the same position, which means that the fascia often becomes tense and less elastic, which leads to stiffness.

Cupping increases the flow of fluid in the tissues and helps the exchange of nutrients and slag products in the networks of connective tissue that exist throughout the body. If the fascia becomes damaged, sticks together or becomes inflamed, we get pain, poorer mobility and our ability to recover becomes worse. Increased fluid flow helps the body to faster recovery, better balance and increased mobility.

The cups can help you get even deeper into both the outer body (muscles, musculoskeletal system) but also to the inner body – the more fluid parts (organ systems). When you land deep in your body, become more relaxed and have increased contact, it is not uncommon for you to come into contact with more sensations and emotions. Curam Recovery® can thus help you become a better listener to what your body needs, get in touch with new parts of yourself and from that new insights can be born that can lead you to make healthier decisions for yourself and your life. So that you can live the most meaningful and satisfying life as possible, based on what is important to you.
