Most people find that cupping massage is very relaxing (especially afterwards), and that it decreases stiffness and tension. Cupping is generally not painful, but depending on the individual’s sensitivity and body status as well as the intensity of the treatment, you may experience moderate discomfort. Cupping can thus be felt properly, but should not normally hurt. Redness or feeling of heat in the cupped area is an indication of increased blood flow to that area and nothing harmful.
