Q: I find the dynamic cup too hard to use, what should I do?

The dynamic cup may feel too hard initially, but the more you use it – being 100% pure silicone and, therefore, a natural material – it will soon soften and become more flexible and pliable. This can help soften it before using it on the body. Additionally, using it in a sauna or during a warm shower can accelerate the softening of the silicone, or you can pour hot water into the cup and then press it from all directions. If you experience difficulties due to weak hands, the static cups may be preferred in some cases, as they have thinner walls and are, therefore, not as hard.

Q: Can you do facial cupping when you have rosacea?

Generally, we advise being cautious or avoiding cupping for rosacea, as it involves increased formation of blood vessels, and these vessels react strongly to stimuli like cupping. While some individuals with milder rosacea may experience positive effects from facial cupping. We advise you to consult with your skincare therapist first. If you wish to try facial cupping, start very gently, with one stroke per area, 3 times a week and preferably in front of a mirror to observe how the skin reacts. Avoid acutely inflamed areas and work around them. Make sure you spend some time on the chest and neck area to help the lymphatic system drainage. Once the inflammation has come down (after a few days or a few weeks) you'll be ready to perform facial cupping (carefully) over the area where it used to be inflamed.

Q: Can you cup the body if you have rheumatism?

It depends on the degree of rheumatism one has. If you have mild rheumatism, cupping can be advantageous for some and may provide some relief. However, if you have severe rheumatism with very tender and swollen joints, cupping could potentially irritate the condition due to the inflammatory state. So, it is best to try it gently and observe how your body reacts. Adjust the suction of the cups so that you don't place them on the highest setting immediately; attach them softly and cautiously. If done moderately and not too forcefully, it usually doesn't cause any problems. However, start gently and pay attention to how your body responds since it can vary from person to person. It also depends on your overall health condition. If you're unsure, consult with your doctor beforehand.

Q: Can you only cup towards the heart?

Some schools claim that you should only cup upwards, otherwise you risk getting a blood clot. According to the traditional Chinese medical perspective, which Curam is based on, cupping can be done in both directions, depending on what one wants to achieve. Then it all depends on who the person is and their health condition. If you are at risk for blood clots or if you have had one, we advise you to check with your doctor first. Whether you should cup or not is also determined by the size of the clot, if there are any remnants left in the body, and other health conditions.

Q: I am pregnant/breastfeeding, can I use the cups?

Facial cupping is okay, but we recommend being cautious with cupping massage during pregnancy and it is advisable to avoid cupping on the abdominal and lower back areas. Be extra careful during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. This is because cupping stimulates blood circulation very intensely and triggers the body's elimination of waste products, which are excreted, in part, through breast milk. It all depends on the woman&#39;s health status, so it can work well for some. Depending on the treated area and health status. Consult with your doctor/therapist for safety.
